Victory Brewing Co. Old Horizontal Barleywine Style Ale    Alc/Vol: 11%   Well first of all, this lives up to its name. This is a beer to have before bed or at least a nap, probably not while you’re out on the town. Dark and complex with smooth, licorice flavor and caramely malts; semi-sweet, semi-bitter black cherry-ish notes too. Definitely something different and absolutely worth trying and probably great to have around in the winter months. Old Horizontal: One was more than enough; two sent me straight to sleep, and that wasn’t a bad thing.
