“A fine beer may be judged
with only one sip,
but it's better to be thoroughly sure.”

I'm no expert.
I just enjoy good beer.

This was a one-year project to document all the different beers I drank from April of 2010 to April of 2011. I will continue to update this periodically, though!

Cheers!

Abita Brewing Co. Satsuma Harvest Wit  Alc/Vol: 5.1%
This is absolutely awesome. You know how I feel about fruity beers, but this one stands above the crowd for me. Crisp and refreshing with a hint of orange and great spices. The spice bite is similar to what you’d find in a good pumpkin ale, but paired with the satsuma it’s on a level of its own. Really easy to drink, great for summer. An instant favorite for me.

Abita Brewing Co. Purple Haze Alc/Vol: 4.2%
Aside from blueberry (and of course, pumpkin) ales, I’m usually a little hesitant to try fruity beers. There are some bad ones out there. However, this one is the opposite of that. You can smell the raspberry and you can taste the raspberry, but it’s not overpowering or super sweet. Light and refreshing and really easy to drink, especially in the summer.
