About

“A fine beer may be judged
with only one sip,
but it's better to be thoroughly sure.”

I'm no expert.
I just enjoy good beer.

This was a one-year project to document all the different beers I drank from April of 2010 to April of 2011. I will continue to update this periodically, though!

Cheers!

Post Road Pumpkin AleAlc/Vol: 5%  First of all, I just now realized this is brewed by Brooklyn Brewery. No wonder I like it so much; everything they make is delicious. This is nice and spicy with great pumpkin flavor behind the spice. The flavor here is satisfying and smooth, and I think this is just what you’d expect to taste if you’d never had a pumpkin ale before. I tend to go for a higher ABV and look for imperial pumpkin ales, but even at 5 percent this is right up there with the best of ‘em.

Brooklyn Brewery Brooklyn LagerAlc/Vol: 5.2%  This is a no-brainer for me. A perfect, crisp, refreshing amber lager. A little floral, a little bit of a bite, smooth all around. Simply good stuff.

Brooklyn Brewery East India Pale Ale Alc/Vol: 6.8%
This is a lot sweeter than I expected it to be. It pretty much tastes the way it smells; some citrus and sweet caramel malt flavors. And hoppy, but not with the bite like I’d expect… not a bad thing in this case. I guess this is technically an English-style IPA, which I actually don’t think I’ve had before. It’s a nice change from what I normally drink and will be a good one to have around during the summer. It’s really refreshing on a hot day, which today was.
