About

“A fine beer may be judged
with only one sip,
but it's better to be thoroughly sure.”

I'm no expert.
I just enjoy good beer.

This was a one-year project to document all the different beers I drank from April of 2010 to April of 2011. I will continue to update this periodically, though!

Cheers!

St. George Brewing Co. IPA    Alc/Vol: 5.5%
Another one picked up for me in Williamsburg, this was surprisingly good. Really grassy hop bite with caramel malts following. Easy to drink; I wish I had a few more of these.

Williamsburg AleWerks Drake Tail IPA    Alc/Vol: 7.5%
Super smooth, and very grassy/flowery with a nice yet somehow smooth bite. Light & refreshing, this is a great summer IPA my parents picked up for me on a recent trip to Williamsburg, VA.

Rivertowne Old Wiley’s IPA     Alc/Vol: 7%
Smells very citrusy. Fairly high carbonation, crisp and bitter with a citrus aftertaste. The bite left my tongue tingling. Nice offering from a Pittsburgh microbrewery.

Dogfish Head Aprihop   Alc/Vol: 7%
This. Is. Delicious. Perfect bitter hop bite followed by a nice apricot sweetness. Definitely worth a try if you find it. It’ll be gone before you know it, both from shelves and your refrigerator.

Full Pint Brewing Company Chinookie IPA Alc/Vol: 6.2%
This is a pretty nice IPA from a relatively new micro-brewery in PA; nice citrusy hops and floral notes. Smooth and really easy to drink. I’d really like to try this on draft.

Cigar City Brewing Jai Alai IPA  Alc/Vol: 7.5%
So I’ve been slacking on updating this blog. I blame the holidays and then I just blame myself for being forgetful. I’ve had some great brews over the last few months and while I didn’t take photos/keep notes for all of them, here’s a little attempt at catching up. Better than nothing, right? I hope so.
Cigar City Jai Alai is a great, easy-to-drink IPA that I’d really like to have again soon. Citrusy, piney, bitter but balanced, this one’s a keeper.
